The main scientific interests are:

1. Study of the roles of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) in neural cells, both normal and transformed, on cell proliferation, death and differentiation.
2. Cancer metabolism in human gliomas.
3. Neural stem cells: differentiation pathways
4. Tumor stem cells: biomolecular characterization.
5. Targeted therapy for Alzheimer disease.
6. Nutraceutic compounds for neurodegenerative diseases prevention.
7. Peroxisome proliferator activated receptors (PPARs) in health and disease.
8. Signal transduction pathways in neuroblastoma: implication for therapy.
9. Biomaterials for neuronal differentiation.
