The Consortium for Research "Technological Innovation, Quality and Food Safety", ITQSA, is a body for the promotion and management of the District Technology QSA of the Abruzzo Region foreseen by the Framework Programme signed on 12/22/2005 among Abruzzo Region, Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) and the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF). The main aims are to propose and develop scientific research activities to accelerate innovation and development in the agri-food and agri-industrial sector in general, particularly in the territory of the Abruzzo Region and organize a "regional innovation system" that contributes to the development and to transfer to the companies for innovative production methods needed to support an adequate level of competitiveness.
